On Tuesday August 22, 2017, Mr. Joseph Henry (Harry) Bromley of Penticton passed away peacefully at the Haven Hill Retirement Centre at age of 89 years.

Harry was born July 16, 1928 in Detroit Michigan and raised in Ontario by his parents Joseph and Marion Bromley and was one of four sons. On Nov. 28, 1948 he married his best friend Mary and they spent 52 years together until she passed away in January 2001.

During that time, they moved to Detroit, Michigan and then onto Tucson, Arizona, Yuma and Sierra Vista. In 1961, they moved to Las Vegas for 14 years. In 1975, they moved back to Canada to Oliver to be closer to Mary’s parents Art and Ann Mellish. Harry was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was involved in many Assembly and Kingdom Hall building projects across Canada and United States. In 1995 they returned to Penticton to retire and be closer to family.

Together they had 5 children- Tim, Mark (Christine), Wendy (Rick), Wayne(Janice) and Jeremy which have given them 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sons Jeremy in 1975, Tim in 1998 and wife Mary in 2001.

In February 22, 2002 Harry had a severe stroke which took his speech and mobility but not his smile or love for his heavenly father.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 2, 2017 at the Penticton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
