Mrau, Joseph
June 5, 1926 - April 25, 2017
It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Mrau, in Kelowna BC, on April 25, 2017 at age 90.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irma Mrau, sons Aldo (Debbie), Franco (Maureen), daughter Linda Nickel (Ron), 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, as well as extended family members in BC and in Italy.
Joseph is pre-deceased by his father (Piero Mrau), his mother (Giovanna Trampus), his elder brother (Giovanni Mrau), and his younger brother (Silvano Trampus).
Joseph and family immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1957, settling in Keremeos, BC, and subsequently resided in Oliver, Osoyoos, and eventually in Penticton starting in 1972, where he resided for 40 years. In 2012 Joseph and Irma Mrau moved to Kelowna.
Celebration of life and a reception will take place on Saturday, May 6th, from 1 pm to 3 pm, at Everden Rust Funeral Home, 1910 Windsor Road, Kelowna BC.
