In loving memory and great sadness, the family of Jesse (Bill) announce the passing on January 7, 2017 of a wonderful man, love of my life, and best friend, after a valiant effort. Jesse was born in Chilliwack, BC, and grew up in Portage La Prairie, Jasper, and later moved to Vancouver with his mother and siblings. He joined the CN Rail, working 46 years for them. He had his own country band named ‘Just Country’ and did openings for Loretta Lynn and many others. Later Jesse became involved in archery and became a teacher for his buddy Ron Boorman from ‘Boorman Archery’. He then tried golf. He loved it, made many friends and golfed every chance he could. He retired in 2008 and moved to Penticton, BC with his wife Noreen. Here he met many lovely new friends and really enjoyed all of them. His kind heart and loving soul will be remembered by all. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Noreen, son Shawn (Gynger), daughter Rebecca, brother Tom (Sydney, BC), sisters Rita (Jim) and Barb of Parksville, BC, Dorothy of Port Coquitlam, BC, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, three step children Lori (Todd), Shelley (Billy), Dean, and six step grandchildren. His thoughtful, compassionate way of life will be remembered by all. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial tributes may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.providencefuneralhomes.com. 250-493-1774
