Boonstock a test for tourism

There is an opportunity to measure tourism effectiveness.

I suggest tourism Penticton take on the task of bringing Boonfest to the area.

Whatever your feelings on the actual festival, this challenge will spotlight the talents, abilities and capabilities of the tourism organization.  The only condition for the event should be it happen before July 1, 2014 or after Sept. 15, 2014.

By hosting the event outside the tourist season, as a stand alone event, all participants can be measured  specifically on the outcome. Furthermore, there is very little need to utilize tourism dollars or talents for events over the tourist saturated summer months.

I believe this scenario has the opportunity for many positive outcomes. This one task could show all citizens how well all stakeholders like tourism, the PHA, the city, and the Native band can work together.
