Off to voting, I will go…
My head is turning in a daze!
Election time is such a craze!
Read the news, attend the forums…
Should I vote against or for ‘ems?
Listen, watch and see who rates,
Who’s the best of candidates?
All say things they think they should
Is that what tells me that they’re good?
Some are simply making sounds,
Others boast they’ve made the rounds
One brags that he’s saved the park,
Was that a vulture or a lark?
One claims that he has learned a lot
But is he still inside the plot?
Some think they win because of youth
With media their proof of truth.
Sure Mighty Mouse is on its way
to save from troubles of our day
Land, taxes, crime, jobs, homelessness
And other things that cause distress
And who or what will make us grow-
Not just a city “all for show?”
Not striving for the up and out?
But better folks, what’s life about?
Penticton needs some folks with wisdom,
Who know the source where wisdom comes from.
Who deeply care for “olth” and youth,
Who makes decisions based on truth.
For me that is priority!
One vote for sure will be Marie!
