Dangerous corner in Penticton
The corner of Atkinson Street and Warren Avenue is very hard for pedestrians to get across.
Very often it is impossible to get across the street. There is a push button to allow the walker to go, but along comes a vehicle that wants to turn left and doesn’t notice the lights or person and drives right in front of the person in the cross walk.
This area of town is filled with seniors. I myself have a walker and I am not tiny, you should see me, but I have had this happen to me at least 20 times since the lights have been installed on the corner.
