Letter: Lock it or lose it

ICBC should not be allowing the deductible to be used by these irresponsible people

Penticton Western News letters to the editor.

In response to a letter to the editor (Penticton Western News, March 16, RCMP resources): the reason the RCMP have quit attending vehicle thefts is because of irresponsible people who leave laptops, iPads, iPods, golf clubs, purses, wallets, change in the cup holder and ashtray, tools, backpacks, GPS, garage door openers, CDs, unlocked vehicles, windows left open, clothing, keys left in ignition and other items too many to list in the vehicle in plain sight.

There is no excuse to leave them in the vehicle. Also, have a copy of your insurance papers in the glove compartment not the original.

If you are broken into, too bad. The RCMP should not be giving file numbers and ICBC should not be allowing the deductible to be used by these irresponsible people. You’re the ones causing our insurance to go up.
