Letter: Support for kids in sport

Once again the support from local businesses was overwhelming

Support for kids in sport

On behalf of the KidSport Penticton committee, I must thank all of those involved in the 16th Annual Rona KidSport and Friends Golf Tournament.

Once again, the support from local businesses was overwhelming, the Penticton Golf and Country Club staff hit the mark on their service, and a dedicated team of volunteers gave their time to ensure that all of the golfers enjoyed a spectacular day.

The organizing committee certainly worked hard for weeks in advance to ensure that not only was it a smooth and enjoyable experience for the golfers, but the tournament raised as much money as possible for needy kids of Penticton. Thanks to Dick Ante, Jocko Bidlake, Cy Gladish, Jamie Moore, Bernie Bathgate, Don and Joy Jack, Connie Dewdney and Holly Bidlake.

Our community supports KidSport Penticton and understands the multiple benefits of participation in sport for all kids. Thank you all.

Dave Lieskovsky

Chair, KidSport Penticton
