Poor judgment indeed

Your editorial (Penticton Western News, Sept. 6, Poor judgment) was most welcome.

I think the punishment meted out to four Canadian Forces members for their behaviour at a Canada Day ceremony in Halifax, N.S. by Rear-Admiral John Newton was also “monumentally poor judgment.”

I served in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Cold War years. I am appalled at the current weakening in military justice.

I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised as the Navy is only following the example of our Canadian justice system.
