Local poolers shoot well

In the seventh annual Canadian Cue Sports B.C. 8 and 9 ball championship, several Penticton players performed well.

In scotch doubles, John Bannon and Kara Ceschini placed second. In 8 ball singles, Jack Ramsay won the advanced division, while Rudy Friesen was second. In the standard division qualifier was Eric Rainville and Andy Swanson. In the 8-ball team event, A finals was Mike Slack, Chris McNeil, Bill Howie, Ramsay and Friesen. C standard qualifier: winning was Cue’s Your Daddy (Bannon, Al Thompson, Rob Corbett, Don Ferch and Keith Crow), in the C standard finals taking second was Clancy’s Nut Browns (Ron Dyck, Liem McDonald, Terry Kaiser, Dan Dymich, Don MacDonald and Ian Dyck). In the C standard finals, finishing third, Out of Order (Andy Swanson, Alec Gabriel, Henry Michel, Wedo Espanoza and Marlowe Sam).

In the 9-ball team event, finishing second was 2 Da 9’z with Ramsay, McNeil and Friesen.
