Pinnacle girls net win

The under-13 South Okanagan Youth Soccer Association Pinnacle girls wrapped up their regular season with a 6-1 victory over Revelstoke.  Kyra Wallace scored a hat trick, while Sam Oliver added two goals and Celine Francisco one. The U13 Girls finished the season with nine wins and one loss and now are focusing their efforts on the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League playdowns this weekend. Their goal is to attend the B.C. soccer provincials in July.

Penticton Mixed slo pitch playoffs

The Dirtbags and Jack's Java Stop are battling for the A Division championship. Jack's Java Stop lost to the Gurus 17-7, forcing them to get to the championship series from the bottom bracket. Facing season elimination, Jack's Java defeated I'd Hit It, Sporting Woods and then faced the Gurus again. This time won 11-10. Their best-of-three series with the Dirtbags begins Monday at Parkway. In the B division, the Assassins have advanced to the championship. In C Division action, the Good Time Buddies booked their trip to the championship series. They will play the winner of the Brew Jays and Carlboozers. Carlboozers lost to Good Time Buddies 30-14 in their last match. In D Division, the Keystone Krushers advanced to the championship game. They defeated the Smoking Aces, who will now face Looking to Score. The winner of that game on Monday will take on the Krushers in the best-of-three championship series.

Men’s golf at Twin Lakes Golf

Bob Hale’s four-some won the par points format on senior mens day at Twin Lakes Golf. Hale’s group of John Kugi, Ron Ebner and Les Stevens shot a 160. In second was Dale Stacey, Dave Myles, Red Bosscha and Doug Coulter shooting 158.

In third was Lyle Lowenberger’s group with Morris Kruger, Pierre Comeau and Bob Wilson shooting 150. Closest to the pin winners were Comeau, Garry Rosse, Lou Brulotte and Norm Boucher.

Women's golf at PGCC

Viv Mohoruk shot an 81 to win the Rose Bowl event held at the Penticton Golf and Country Club during ladies Tuesday evening action. Carol Ecklund was the runner-up shooting an 86.
