Team Kripps (Canada No. 3) enjoyed a good showing placing 7th in the World Cup Bobsleigh races last weekend Koenigsee Germany. Pilot Justin Kripps paired with veteran brakeman Lascelles Brown in the 2-man and finished 10th. Kripps posted the fastest start time in the second heat and placed eighth. Canada No. 1 took gold in a dominant performance and Canada No. 2 placed 11th.

The following day Brown was back with pilot Lyndon Rush (Canada No. 1) and Kripps had his regular four-man crew of Nic Carriere, James McNaughton and Sam Guigere. Having two consistent runs, Kripps' team placed 12th overall in a field of 30 that featured the best teams in the world.

The Canadian coaches opted to send Kripps' team along with Canada No. 2 to St. Moritz (home of the upcoming World Championships) the previous week for extra training as both Kripps and Spring have not driven this track before. Kripps, one of the youngest drivers on the circuit spent his 26th birthday in the Swiss Alps village.

World Cup races resume this week in Igls Austria, where Kripps hopes to build on his recent performances and secure a place in the World Championships.
