Sun Devils burn Mariners for senior girls provincial volleyball championship

Led by the play tournament MVP Nicole McNamara, the South Delta Secondary School Sun Devils defended their 4A senior girls volleyball championship against the Earl Marriott Mariners.

The Mariners won the first set, 25-17, but the Sun Devils took the next three 25-23, 25-19 and 25-19 against their Fraser Valley rivals at Pen High Secondary in front of a packed crowd.

Finishing in third were the South Kamloops Titans, who defeated the Handsworth Secondary Royals. The Kelowna Owls finished fifth, while the host Pen High Lakers finished 15th. Moscrop was named the most sportsmanlike team.
