Canada Summer Games update vol. 2

Mend and Team Ontario playing for bronze, B.C. baseball in placing game

Logan Mend and Team Ontario came up short in advancing to the mens beach volleyball final in the Canada Summer Games.

Team Ontario, who went 5-0 in round robin, took on Team Nova Scotia at the Sargent Park beach Volleyball Centre in Winnipeg, losing in three sets, 16-21, 23-21 and 13-15 on Thursday. Nova Scotia will now face B.C. in the gold medal game, while Ontario will play Alberta for bronze. That match will be played today.

In baseball, Penticton’s Daniel Martin and B.C. lost its quarter-final match to Team Ontario 3-1. They are currently playing Team Quebec in a placing game.
