Murray GM Vees split

Penticton Murray GM Vees cruised to 10-1 win over Salmon Arm.

The Penticton bantam Murray GM Vees picked up a split in Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association action last weekend. The Vees started by losing 1-0 to Kelowna after firing 46 shots on goal. Against the Salmon Arm Silvertips, the Vees cruised to a 10-1 win. Kieran Simpson led with three, while Levi Carter scored twice, and single goals by Kai Espenhain, Rickson Kruger, Jacob Obuck, Dylan Milton and Finn Halladay. The Vees host a tournament this weekend. Their first game is against Port Moody Friday night at 7:15 p.m. at Memorial Arena.

In other action, the Penticton Kal-Tire atom rec Vees Punishers rolled over the Summerland Jets 20-3 on Oct. 30.
