The Penticton Pinnacles U21 team lost a tough battle 3-2 to the Port Coquitlam Metro on Sunday.

Dion Gouldsborough was first to strike net giving the Pinnacles a 1-0 lead, but the Metro answered back with two straight goals. Randy Hubber tied things up for the Pinnacles 2-2.

“It was a hard fought game and a tough loss. We had a battle on our hands,” said coach Barry Hubber. “With about 10 minutes left Coquitlam got the game winner.”

Hubber said the Pinnacles look forward to meeting the Metro again when they play in a couple of weeks on the Metro’s turf.

Next action for the Pinnacles is June 11 against Okanagan FC in Kelowna at UBCO-Okanagan field.
