A Naramata winery has received accolades for serving up food with a side of something extra — a gorgeous view.

Bench 1775 was named number four on the American Express essentials Top 20 outdoor dining destinations.

Listed as one of the world-class wineries bordering Okanagan Lake, making it difficult to choose a favourite spot, Bench 1775 received the “extra pinch me appeal” because of the waterfront picnic area and bistro.

“Live music on summer weekends, 300 metres of beachfront and coveted vineyard and lake views add to the dreaminess,” reads the description of Bench 1775.

Named after the address of their winery, 1775 Naramata Road, the bistro features a artisans wood fired oven to pair with wine, locally harvested produce and seasonal B.C. seafood.

Taking top spots on the list is Foreign Cinema in San Francisco, L’Opera in Saint Tropez, France and Quicks Hole Taqueria in Woods Hole, Mass. See the full list by clicking here.
