Bollywood Bang gets dressed for new venue

Sale of traditional East Indian outfits coming up for sold out event which is moving

Bollywood Bang 2017 is set to be Vernon largest event with over 900 tickets sold within one hour.

So big in fact, that the April 29 event is moving to a bigger venue - the Vernon Curling Club.

“The Curling Club will provide a spectacular setting for this much anticipated event,” said Dalvir Nahal, event organizer.

But before the event gets underway, organizers are gearing up to get ticket holders dressed for the occassion.

Since the first event, guests have been encouraged to dress in traditional East Indian outfits. And organizers will help them do so with a pop-up sale at Lakers Clubhouse Saturday, March 18 from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Prices range from $40 - $90.

Since its inception Bollywood Bang has proudly raised over $106,000 for local charities including CMHA, Upper Room Mission and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital. This year Bollywood Bang is gearing up to raise a record amount in support of NONA Child Development Centre.
