This weekend is a busy one for youth sports competition in Penticton.

The Penticton Community Centre’s pool will be closed to the public for a swim meet that goes Friday through to Sunday, Oct. 17. The pool will reopen to the public on Monday, Oct. 18.

The leisure pool remains closed due to a leak issue. Work continues to fix leak which has shut down the pool for nearly a month.

Penticton Minor Hockey is hosting the first of 13 tournaments this weekend at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC). All arenas in the SOEC complex are allowing 50 per cent capacity with Vaccine Passports for fans to watch.

Hockey teams from the Lower Mainland and other parts of the Interior are coming to play in the weekend tournaments.
