Catch the Christmas spirit by checking out the amazing light displays people have created throughout Penticton.
The Penticton Western News has compiled a list of addresses and neighbourhoods that have gone above and beyond creating their holiday display.
For the second year the Jones family has put together their Christmas Wonderland backyard walk-thru at 238 Huth Ave. in Penticton.
They have opened up their backyard Wonderland every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, from 6 to 8 p.m. Their front yard is always available for viewing.
Come see the full-sized Santa sleigh and eight reindeer, giant gnome, Mickey & Minnie, Olaf and of course the giant Grinch, Cindy Lou and Max. Once again they will be collecting again for the Salvation Army Food Bank and the Oasis United Food Cupboard.
“Last year we were able to help out with the food drive of over 500 non-perishable items and monetary donations. Any donation is graciously accepted but not required to view our display. Come share the Christmas Spirit,” posted Debbie Jones on Facebook.
Pamela Marcelino posted on the Penticton Facebook group stunning photos of Christmas lights displays she found by going up Carmi looping through all the streets to Duncan and up Sendero Canyon and then in behind IGA.

Granby Avenue from Atkinson to Main is impressive. (don’t forget to check out the Grinch display at 123 Granby)

Penticton Avenue, especially 1675 Penticton Ave. with a great view from the walking path as well as the bridge over Penticton creek. The front of the house is also special.

Atkinson Street close to Cherry Lane

It’s also well worth the drive to Oliver to check out the “Krieswolds” at 1015 Fairview Rd. and Silver Sage Winery.
Also in Oliver, the town centre is lit up, and is a must to check out the light tunnel at Lions Park. Osoyoos also has huge light displays that are synced to music.
