An NHL-themed train engine collectible that comes from a set with more than $1,000 in value was mistakenly taken from the SS Sicamous in Penticton on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

According to the SS Sicamous Marine Heritage Society, a train engine featuring the logos of the NHL’s Orginal Six is missing after a large group of people visited its gift shop this week.

“We had this train engine on display by a box of free trains and someone mistakenly took our Original Six train engine out of its special box,” the society wrote on Facebook.

The train is part of a collectible set that’s worth up to $1,200. Without the aforementioned train engine, though, the set is worthless, the society says.

“This is a significant loss to our society and is quite devastating,” they added. “Please, if you took this train home return it back to the SS Sicamous Society.”
