Discovery House wants the community to help Shed the Light on Addiction Dec. 14.

The care facility will be hosting an open house and fundraiser from 3 p.m. until 6, where they will be selling Christmas bulbs to string up onto the House.

Individual bulbs are a $10 donation, or you can buy a strand of 25 bulbs for $250, with any donations over $20 getting a charitable tax-receipt.

There will also be fresh baking and hot apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee and tea.

All donations go to supporting the Discovery House with providing their long-term recovery program to people who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

The bulbs will be on sale until Dec. 31, and the donations can also be made by calling 250-462-1338 or by contacting Discovery House by email at prrs@shaw.ca. You can also send cash, cheque or money order by mail to Shed the Light on Addiction, at 633 Winnipeg St. Penticton, BC - V2A 5N1.
