The Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail will be temporarily closed in Naramata Monday, April 25 to Friday, April 29.
The closure will be between Arawana Road and Sutherland Road in Electoral Area “E”. The closure will be in effect daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The closure will allow crews to safely perform geotechnical investigation on behalf of the province of B.C.
KVR Trail users will be redirected to alternate routes to bypass the closure area. This includes nearby roads and mountain bike/hiking paths in the Three Blind Mice trail network.
Closure signs will be posted at Arawana Road and Sutherland Road. Flaggers will be located near the work zone to divert or turn around recreational traffic during work hours. Trail users passing through during non-work hours are reminded to use caution and stay away from equipment.
Rock scaling shut the KVR Trail above Naramata in March 2021.
