Parents are being offered an evening off in support of local Girl Guides.

The 101st Girl Guides East Coast Trip Unit is hosting a Parent’s Night Out fundraiser on Friday, Dec. 1, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Trinity United Church.

“There will be active games, crafts, reading, face painting, dance party and so much more,” said Kim Harry, event organizer.

The Guides will also be offering gift wrapping by donation.

“All proceeds will go towards their 16 days Maritime Trip next summer.”

Parents interested in a few hours of kid-free time to go for dinner, get some shopping done or just relax, are urged to pre-register as spots are limited, at brownowl.ggc@gmail.com.

The evening activity is $25 for one child, $40 for two siblings and $10 for each additional child.
