The ladies of the Keremeos Royal Purple are once again running their Handbags for Hope campaign to support South Okanagan women in need.
The group will be collecting items from Monday Nov. 9 to Saturday Nov 21.
Last year they collected a record number of bags for women in need.
The group has partnered with Valley First Credit Union as well as the Keremeos Information Centre to collect items for women in need. The goods will then be distributed by the Lower Similkameen Community Services Society.
The group says they are looking for new or gently used larger handbags as well as small or large soaps, Kleenex, tooth paste, brushes, dental floss, shampoo, conditioner, hair brushes and combs, deodorant, lotions, tampons, pads, wash clothes and “anything else you might think of.”
Items can be dropped off at the Keremeos Information Centre from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday or at the Valley First Credit Union Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
