Hillside on top with donation to PDCRS

Hillside Winery dontates $3,800 to Penticton and District Community Resources Society

Hillside Winery is continuing it’s giving ways this

Christmas with a recent donation to the Penticton and District Community Resources Society.

Last week winemaker Kathy Malone, who made a personal donation of her own to the organization, presented a cheque for $3,800 on behalf of Hillside to executive director Tanya Behardien of the PDCRS.

The money is for use in the 15th annual Holiday Give program which helps needy families and individuals throughout the region each Christmas.

A number of businesses and residents contribute to the the plan each year.

Last year Holiday Gives gave 100 Christmas baskets to families along with youth living independently.

Included in the baskets were holiday treats, grocery gift cards and specific gift requests.

In it’s year-end report last year the board of PDCRS wrote: “We also extend a special thank you to Hillside Estates Winery and Bistro. Your incredible generosity really came through once again in support of the Holiday Give this year. We could not have done it without you.”
