The holiday season is here and it’s full of hustle and bustle, from decorating trees to buying presents.
This is why the BC SPCA is hosting its annual bake sale, to help ease the stress of adding Christmas baking to the list.
The Kelowna shelter will host the bake sale at 3785 Casorso Road on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or while supplies last.
“With the holiday season upon us, you can pick up baked goodies for you and your furry friends. Indulge in a variety of delicious fresh home-baked cookies, pies, cupcakes and more, made by our volunteer elves,” said senior officer of community giving Karin Massar.
The Kelowna BC SPCA has been hosting the holiday bake sale since 2004 and every year it gets bigger and bigger.
“Our volunteer “Shelter Mom” Barb Goebel began this event with PJ’s Party Cakes, selling cupcakes in the animal centre,” said Massar.
Each year people line up outside the Humane Education building, eagerly waiting to pick up some treats. Be sure to get there early to get your choice of goodies, as they sell out fast.
All funds from this event support the care of vulnerable animals in the community.
