The spookiest train of the year is coming through Summerland, just in time for Halloween.

The Kettle Valley Steam Railway’s Terror Train has geared up for a nightmarish ride through Prairie Valley and beyond.

There will be frightening setups and unsettling sights along the trains route, and the hosts and crew will dress up, or down, for the occasion.

There is a contest for the best decorated yard along the route, and dressing up for the occasion is encouraged.

The train leaves from the Kettle Valley Steam Railway Station on Oct. 26 and 27, with a family-friendly run at 5:30 p.m. and a mature audience run at 7:30 p.m. both days.

Tickets are available on line at www.kettlevalleyrail.org, at the station or by calling 1-877-494-8424.
