The Lake Country Food Bank is looking for a new truck and hosting a fundraiser to raise money for it.

On Sunday, Dec. 8, the food bank is hosting a winter fundraiser at Grey Monk Winery from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to help fund the new truck, which will help expand its capacity.

"Why a new truck? We often receive generous donations of food, but with limited truck capacity, we find ourselves making multiple trips, slowing down our operations and incurring extra costs," stated the food bank on social media. "A new truck would revolutionize our efficiency, allowing us to collect more food and serve our community better than ever."

The food bank has a goal of raising $150,000 for the truck.

"This investment will enable us to expand our reach and amplify our impact for years to come," added the food bank.

At the fundraiser event, there will be live music, refreshments, and a silent auction.

Tickets for the event are available on the food bank's website
