The lobster still may be “on the run” but the popular fundraiser for the Penticton Rotary Club is a-go.
All proceeds will go toward rebuilding the Skaha Lake Park Children’s Splash Pad. Last year’s drive-thru event raised $46,000.
The mobile culinary experience returns Aug. 14 from 2-7:30 p.m. at Bogner’s Restaurant on Eckhart Avenue West, delivering the Nova Scotia delicacy.
For those who prefer their dinner land-based, chicken and plant options are available. Beer and wine will also be available to purchase.
Penticton Rotarians will be following all COVID-19 protocols. Gloves and masks will be worn as the meals are placed into vehicles’ trunks at pickup.
Walkers and cyclists are asked to check in with a volunteer for instructions on how to safely collect the order.
Even if you’re not hungry, an online auction may pique interest. Trips to Hawaii and Rotarians’ manual labour start from $100, while pony kegs from local breweries, gift boxes, go karts and more are up for grabs in the silent auction.
