Your Christmas tree probably looks amazing right now, but later this month, you’ll be ready to take it down.

When you do so, there will be two locations in the Town of Oliver where you can deposit your Christmas tree into an EZ-Bin to be safely chipped and disposed of.

The first being on Station Street, north of the Coast Hotel. Residents can also take their trees to an EZ-Bin at the Oliver Fire Hall at 369 Similkameen Ave.

This service will be available from Dec. 23, 2020, until Jan. 8, 2021.

The town asks that residents ensure all decorations and tinsel are removed prior to dropping the tree off for chipping.

Alternatively, you are able to chop up your tree and deposit it into your yard waste container, with the lid closed, for pick-up the week of March 8.
