If you are looking to swim at Penticton’s aquatic facilities, you’ll have to wait until the end of the month.

Penticton’s Community Centre’s aquatic facilities are undergoing their annual maintenance and cleaning Aug. 14 to 29, scheduled to reopen Aug. 30.

The pools have been drained and will be cleaned as well as any maintenance that is needed, said Joshua Bibbs, city staff member.

When the aquatic facilities do re-open, they won’t be back to pre-pandemic levels in terms of what is available to do.

“We are adding resources as safety and staffing permits,” said Bibbs in a city-made video.
