An elementary school in Penticton is on its way to getting some new learning supplies, thanks to an unexpected gift from a company in Kelowna.

Parkway Elementary was the recipient of a recent $2,000 donation from Emil Anderson, a construction group in the Central Okanagan.

The school says the donation will allow student services to be expanded through the implementation of new programs and the purchasing of new supplies.
