Lace up your boots and grab your maps because the Penticton Fall Art Walk is right around the corner.

A total of 21 venues at 18 different city locations will be featured in the annual autumn-themed art walk on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Organized by the Penticton Arts Council, the event will start at the Leir House and move toward Lakeshore Drive, starting at 11 a.m.

“Whether you walk, ride, or drive, the Penticton Fall Art Walk always has something new to experience,” wrote Bethany Handfield, the council’s administrator. “Support local while shopping this holiday season and find one-of-a-kind items created by Okanagan artists.”

Each of the 21 venues along the route will have unique items on display and prize draws to artists on site.

The event will be the third of its kind in Penticton since last April, following the Lake-to-Lake walk during the inaugural Ignite the Arts Festival and a year-round art walk.

“Though the Fall Art Walk is a one-day event, we hope you will keep these venues at top of mind all year long,” Handfield added.

Participation in the event is free, with the walk set to conclude at 4 p.m.

Festivities will run just hours before the city brings back its Downtown Light Up Festival. Penticton’s outdoor rink next to the city hall will be lit up during the holiday-themed gathering. The event, organized by the Downtown Penticton Business Improvement Association, runs from 5 to 7 p.m.
