Keep all Pentictonites warm and dry this winter by donating to the Penticton Library’s Sock & Warm Item Drive on now until Nov. 27.

Every single item you donate will go to someone here in Penticton, supporting local members of our community. This winter is slated to be a cold one, so if you are able to share a little, it means a lot to those who need dry, warm clothing.

New socks, scarves, hats, toques and gloves are always welcome.

Our local public library just finished up its successful Food For Fines campaign during the month of October.

“With help of our fantastic community here in Penticton, we were able to fill a grocery cart to overflowing before handing it off to the wonderful folks at Keep the Cold Off Penticton,” said the Penticton Library in a release.

The library is a buzz of activity lately. This weekend the library hosted its annual Dirty Book Sale where all the shelved books, DVDs and magazines are on sale. Prices range from 25 cents to $5.

All money raised from the sale goes back to the library’s stock and programming.
