The Festival gets underway this year on Monday, August 1 (BC Day) when Shooting Star Amusements opens for seven full days and evenings of rides, thrills, cotton candy and all the fun of the fair.
Five full days and evenings of free entertainment await visitors in Okanagan Lake Park, opening with Seniors Day on Wednesday, August 3 and closing with Kiddies Day on Sunday, August 7. A four day square dance festival runs Wednesday through Saturday and the Aboriginal Cultural Village will be open Friday and Saturday.
And what is a festival without a parade? Well Penticton Peach Festival has two! The Peters Bros Grand Parade on Saturday with floats and bands from far and wide is the largest parade in BC's interior. The delightful Kiddies Parade is on Sunday morning with the afternoon’s entertainment – Featuring Internationally famous children's entertainer, Charlotte Diamond – created especially for our younger audience.
Penticton Peach Festival is a family festival with something for everyone including live entertainment — a premier mountain bike stunt show, bands – featuring Canadian rock icons Trooper, dancers, hypnotist shows, food and merchandise vendors, arts and crafts exhibits, and competitions.
