The iconic Penticton Peach is now the Penticton Pumpkin — just in time for Halloween.

The peach, located on Lakeshore Drive and loved by locals and tourists for selling sweet treats in the summer, was recently given a makeover by local artist Johann Wessels.

Penticton’s famous landmark gets dressed up for almost every festive occasion. The peach, evidently not one to break tradition, has opted to go as a pumpkin the last four consecutive Halloweens as well.

The new look was still a hit on social media. Many locals expressed their admiration for the peach’s getup. “You look great peach, can’t wait for Christmas outfit,” one poster wrote. “Love looking at the Peach,” said another.
