Penticton woman takes third at annual Butter Tart Festival

Congratulations are in order to Penticton’s Gayle Kienas, who placed third in the Lumby & District Public Market’s Butter Tart Festival.

The festival, which is in its fifth year, was hosted on Aug. 24 to celebrate “Canada’s favourite dessert.” The market also featured vendors selling jewelry, locally-grown fruit, baking and artisan crafts.

Elsia Manahan, with the Lumby & District Public Market, thanks Kienas for her attendance and said it was great to meet her. She added that fun was had by all at the annual sweet treat event.
