Penticton’s Discovery House is dishing out a delicious fall dinner on Oct. 29.

The dinner coincides with an auction of items including a 2022 Penticton Vees jersey signed by the entire B.C. Hockey League champions, with proceeds from both going to fund the abstinence-based addiction recovery program.

The dinner kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will include Discovery House alumni sharing their stories of recovery and how the program helped bring them back to being healthy members of the community.

The Nest restaurant is cooking up a smoked beef brisket for the dinner, and there will also be a vegetarian option. The dinner will be served with sides of roasted potatoes and fall vegetables, salad and desserts made by Discovery House’s cooking group and Chef Rob.

Finally, items are welcome to be donated to the baking raffle. Not only will there be plenty of desserts to win and take home, but there will also be sides of bacon up for the taking.

Tickets for the dinner are available for $25, or $200 for a table of eight.

To purchase tickets, you can call 250-490-3076 and stop by to pick them up at the Discovery House office, at the back door of 633 Winnipeg St. any day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

To volunteer or to donate to baking, as well as to reserve tables, you can also call Jerome Abraham at 250-462-1388.
