The annual Wildstone Colour 4 Kids run returned to Penticton on Sunday for its eighth year.
Over 800 people had registered for the run the night before, and more signed up the day of the event.
The event raises funds for the Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society (OSNS), and the full total of funds raised won't be known until later.
In 2023, the run raised over $40,000 for the OSNS's development centre, providing funding for programs and equipment that support youth throughout the South Okanagan and Similkameen.
The weather for the run was perfect, with blue skies and a slight breeze of Okanagan Lake to keep runners cool.
From the start line to the finish, participants were doused and splattered with pigments, turning their white shirts into a riot of colours .
Participants were able to choose to run either 2.5 kilometres or five kilometres, leaving from the LocoLanding parking lot and heading down Lakeshore Drive before looping back.
The Colours4Kids Run was started by then Princess Margaret Secondary student Sinclaire Lovet in memory of her sister Bronwyn who passed away at the age of 18 due to a mitochondrial disease.
