RCMP searching for robbery suspects

An employee was attacked with bear spray, thieves fled with cash and property.

Penticton RCMP are searching for two suspects after a reported robbery at a downtown Penticton business.

Officers responded to the report at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at a business in the 300 block of Main Street.

Upon arrival, RCMP found an employee who had been spray with bear mace by two masked suspects.

The suspects stole money from the register and other property before fleeing on foot.

The first suspect is described as a male, wearing a green hooded jacket with fur around the hood.

The second suspect is possibly female, and was wearing all black at the time of the theft.

Anyone who has information about the robbery is asked to call the Penticton RCMP, 250-492-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
