On Remembrance Day, the Campbell Mountain landfill will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and the Keremeos landfill will be open from 10 a.m. until 4. p.m. The Oliver and Okanagan Falls landfills, in addition to the Campbell Mountain landfill, will be open for their normal hours on Monday Nov. 12.

With November one of the busiest times of the year for local landfills due to the large volumes of yard waste, the Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) will be keeping the landfills open. In previous years, closing the Campbell Mountain landfill created lineups and problems the next day.

RDOS landfills will also be switching to their reduced winter hours, beginning Dec. 1 until the end of February 2019. For more information about the RDOS landiflls, you can contact the RDOS Solid Waste Division at 250-490-4129, e-mail info@rdos.bc.ca or visit www.rdos.bc.ca.
