The Penticton and Area Cycling Association is hosting a Skaha Bluffs trail clean up day with the Climbers Access Society of B.C. on June 23.

“If you recreate on trails, this a chance to help out. We hope to see you there,” said PACA organizers.

The single day of trail work includes pruning back the dense growth that has been taking over the trails. They also played on improving the Ward 1 mudslide repair and clean out some of the drainage along the double track.

PACA advises those who are going to take part to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and plan for two to three hours of clean up beginning with a hike up Ward 1 and Sauerkraut trails. Some tools will be available but they suggest anyone who can bring pruners or loppers to do so.

Organizers are asking those wanting to participate to meet at 9 a.m. on June 23 at the upper parking lot of the Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park.
