It’s almost time for Penticton to welcome back the South Okanagan Home and Reno Show.
The 26th edition of the annual showcase returns to the city’s trade and convention centre Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 after taking a one-year in-person hiatus, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over 110 vendors will be at the two-day event, from turf experts to gardeners and everything in between.
“We are so excited to be back in action for Penticton’s 26th annual Home Show with 111 exhibitors in the home and renovation industry on-site to answer all your house-related questions,” said Sarah Taylor, executive officer of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association in the South Okanagan (CHBASO).

Taylor told the Western News in February that the home show is one a lot of people look forward to, as evident by the over 6,000 attendees seen at past shows.
The show serves as an outlet for people to ask experts about anything that relates to their home life, especially as we step into spring. It also gives people ideas for their own home or yards.
“Ask questions about building a house, renovating a house, as well as questions about someone’s garden,” Taylor said.
Companies owned and operated within the South Okanagan are expected to make up most of the vendors at this year’s event.
“It’s a great way to support and meet with local home and renovation businesses conveniently under one great big roof,” Taylor added.
The return of the home show will include a special pancake breakfast on Sunday morning, April 3, with all proceeds set to go to the South Okanagan Women in Need Society.
Along with the $5 admission tag to enter the event, organizers are charging an additional $5 to attend the pancake breakfast, which also includes bacon and coffee.
The show runs at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on 273 Power Street on April 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and on April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
