Tickets are now on sale for one of the local social events of the season and all for a great cause.
Take an Old Bag to Tea is a fundraiser put on by the Penticton Hospital Auxiliary to help purchase equipment for the trauma room in the recently-opened David E. Kampe Tower at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH).
It takes place on June 9 at the Lakeside Resort and guests are invited to bring an old bag along to fill with some of the many items that will be available for sale during the afternoon of fun events which runs from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 12:30 p.m.
Among the local shops that will be showcased during the event are Sass Boutique, Mi Amor Boutique, Peaches Lingerie, Busy Clothing Co., Teas & Weaves and McPhail Kilt Makers.
Tickets are $25 and include tea sandwiches, dessert, beverage and entertainment, including a special performance by the Okanagan Youth Pipe Band.

There will also be a number of door prizes awarded throughout the day.
According to June Revell-Quevillon, who runs the Trinkets & Treasures Gift Shop at PRH, the event is a great opportunity to get some great gifts for yourself and others and help a very worthy cause.

Tickets are available at Trinket & Treasures along with all of the participating stores and the Lakeside Resort.
