The Penticton Fire Dept. is challenging you to a water fight to help beat the heat

You might not win but at least you’ll be cooled down

What better way to beat this extreme heat than an old fashioned water fight.

Penticton firefighters are challenging all kids and parents to a water fight tonight (June 28) and June 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) parking lot.

“Come prepared – we are!” the Penticton Professional Firefighters posted to their Facebook page.

The SOEC is also now home to Penticton’s cooling centre.

The cooling centre is open to provide a safe place for residents and visitors to get relief from the extreme heat.

The cooling centre at the SOEC is open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., starting today through Friday, July 2.
