Unisus students raise money for Summerland Food Bank

Students at Summerland’s Unisus School raised money and collected food donations during a recent food drive and bake sale.

Students from Grades 4, 5 and 6 did a recent unit of inquiry at the school about sharing the planet with food.

As a result, the students organized the food drive and bake sale. The event collected 60 kilograms of food, seven kilograms of shampoo and cosmetics and $266.55, which was donated to the Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre.
