Vendors set up for giant automotive and antique swap in Penticton

Over 100 vendors are setting up in Penticton for the annual automotive, motorcycle and antique swap meet this Saturday.

Over 100 vendors are setting up in Penticton for the annual automotive, motorcycle and antique swap meet this Saturday.

The South Okanagan and Okanagan Chapters of the Vintage Car Club South Okanagan Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada (VCCC) meet takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Vendors coming from across the province will be set up in the Penticton Curling Club and in the Wine Country Visitor Centre parking lot. There will be a wide range of automotive related memorabilia for sale including vintage vehicles, porcelain signs, advertising memorabilia, manuals including custom and muscle car parts. In addition, antique and collectible vendors from the Okanagan Valley will be selling their collectibles.

“Last year, we had nearly 1,800 people through the gate,” said Ron Garay, VCCC Swap Meet registration co-ordinator. “The 24th annual swap meet is great family fun. This year, there will be several collector cars up for sale as well as a ton of parts, collectibles and memorabilia. ”

Admission is $2, children 12 and under are free. A concession will be on-site for breakfast and lunch. The Okanagan Motorcycle Riders Association in partnership with the Kelowna and District Safety Council will be selling raffle tickets for two Harley Davidson motorcycles.
