The South Okanagan Women In Need Society is looking for volunteers to help at a third party fundraising event at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 40 on Aug. 21.
The first annual Motorcycle Toy Run will bring Christmas to SOWINS in the summer. Riders and passengers are asked to bring an unwrapped toy for a boy or girl. SOWINS is in need of volunteers for the 50/50 portion of the event and filling out donation forms on event day. Training will be provided and shifts are either 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m.
The toy run event also includes a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. with the ride starting at 10 a.m. Burgers, hot dogs and live entertainment at the Legion afterwards. Pre-register at the Legion or register the day of the event on Aug. 21 at the Legion.
