What’s shaking at the museum

Kids got to learn about earthquakes Saturday at the museum.

Earthquakes were the topic of Saturday’s monthly Saturday Mornings at the Museum program.

From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. those attending got to learn about quakes and fault lines and other interesting aspects of the shakers.

Kids got to build a model of an earthquake-proof building and then test their work on the earthquake table.

The regular sessions take place on the third Saturday of the month and are for five to eight year olds with parental supervision.

Older and younger siblings are welcome as well.

Suggested donation is $1.
